Star Wars Wednesday - Game On

OK, so I'm writing this during Game 2 of the World Series, so it will be brief. How so? I started to do this after the 1st inning. It's now the start of the fifth and here we are still at the intro. After Jason Fry's visit a few weeks ago, it has turned out that its the Royals vs Mets, so both of our twitter feeds have more than a little baseball right now. The Royals won last night in an epic 14 inning game. The Mets are up at the moment by one run. Beyond these games, it has been a week for Star Wars gaming as well.

The big news of the week was the new Battlefront full trailer. It's amazing to see. Hopefully it will still look that good on my PC.

Fantasy Flight Games rolled out a couple of previews this week. One for Edge of the Empire Mask of the Pirate Queen adventure, and one for the just announced Age of Rebellion Lead By Example sourcebook for commander characters. I wasn't in on either this time around and I'm looking forward to seeing them.

Fancy accessories are definitely a thing for X-Wing, and FFG announced their new sculptural maneuver dials. That follows up on their pegs and bases of various colors.

Midwest GameFest updated their schedule. The two D&D Adventurer's League games I'm running are now on the list, added to the Star Wars, Savage Worlds The Last Parsec, and Numenera games already on there. The panel schedule is also now up, with the panels on Saturday afternoon. I'm in two: one on RPG freelancing with Jon Hook (Cthulu writer) and Bear Weiter (Monte Cook Games art director) in general and one on D&D AL with the US Plains Regional Coordinator and the AL KC Local Coordinator. Also, if I didn't mention it before, Monte Cook Games will be in attendance and will have panels of their own.

And I didn't write any faster during the game as it just finished and the Royals won 7-1, with a fantastic complete game by Johnny Cueto. Royals are up 2-0 in the series, and now it goes to NY.
